Foulston Park has officially announced an exclusive partnership with professional football manager and legendary Plymouth Argyle player Paul Wotton to deliver a high-intensity series of elite youth coaching masterclasses this June.
The sessions are designed to bring professional-grade technical development, tactical awareness, and elite mentorship to aspiring local footballers. Hosted at Foulston Park’s Community Cage, our new and improved 60×40 pitch, the masterclasses are open to players aged 12 to 18, broken down into specific age-appropriate training groups to maximize individual player development.
An Elite Professional Pedigree
Paul Wotton brings a wealth of professional experience to the project. Highly revered as an iconic former captain of Plymouth Argyle, Wotton made a staggering 491 appearances for the club, placing him joint-second on the Pilgrims’ all-time appearance list and cementing his status as a true club legend. His distinguished playing career also includes a notable spell as a defender in the Premier League and Championship for Southampton.
Following his playing career, Wotton successfully transitioned into professional coaching and management. He served as a first-team coach at Plymouth Argyle, contributing to their elite development structures, before moving into successful managerial roles at Truro City and Torquay United. Speaking on the upcoming masterclasses, Paul Wotton said: “I’m really looking forward to coaching and passing on my knowledge at a brilliant facility.”
His deep understanding of the modern game offers young players a rare window into what it takes to perform at the highest levels of professional football.
Programme Details and Pricing
To ensure high coaching quality and individual player feedback, sessions are either exclusive 1-to-1s or structured into tightly controlled focus groups with a strict maximum capacity of eight players per session.
- 1-to-1 session: £40 per session
- Small group session of eight players: £20 per person
